Our Annual Meeting was held on January 19th. Everyone had a wonderful time at the Baldwin Angus Ranch for the meeting, dinner, and program. A hay ride and farm tour of the Baldwin Angus Ranch was enjoyed by many attending. Roy Mitchell gave a fabulous demonstration on Cutting Meat and arriving at the very best cuts of Angus Beef. We were privileged to see this master at work and learned so much. We had a delicious dinner of Brisket and several sides by the Hills BBQ Company. The members were told of all the events we had during the year and the decision of the Board to produce a new website for the organization. We would like to thank Erin Freel and her expert staff including Joel Bockoras our web designer at The Market Place for such a professional and fabulous website! We hope that all the members will use it to keep up to date on the events and news of the Florida Angus Association and Florida Angus Junior Association.

2012 Current Membership – 82 members
Florida Angus Association Board of Directors and our Junior Angus Advisors have worked very hard at our Board Meetings to organize this year’s events and Junior Shows, thank you to all of them for their time and energy
Female Sale was held on April 30th our Sale Chairman Ronnie and Debbie Gilmore did a fabulous job with the sale, it was a successful sale in Marianna Florida at the University of Florida at the Bull Test Station.
Spring Field Day and Junior Show was at the Zephyrhills High School Agriculture Area, it was a huge success. The Board had decided to hold a Silent Auction that would help pay for the cost of the new Website Development and it was very successful.
2011 FJAA Fall Show was held on Saturday in Trenton. It was a great show with some wonderful cattle. Sheriff Smith made Brisket and it was fabulous..
FJAA Nationals -Florida Junior Angus Association had a many members show at Nationals in Kentucky; Nell McCauley organized and was the leader for our Juniors at the Nationals. All our kids did an outstanding job. Read about their accomplishments on the Junior Section in the newsletter.
The Florida Angus Association Website was updated all year with new members and Field Day information as events happened. Our new website is being planned and produced by The Market Place.
Ad in the Florida Livestock Journal has been updated to show our current officers and continues to run each month promoting our breed
Florida Angus Association Website A new Website is being working on and designed by Erin Freel and the Market Place and myself. We hope that you will use it as a form of communication with news about the FAA and FJAA.
Email Communication was continued throughout the year announcing events, networking sales, and forwarding important information from various organizations to keep all of us informed. Please make sure you have your email address on the membership form so we will have it. It is much more cost effective to email out information and not mail it. Thank you for your cooperation.

We had our election of officers and new board members at the meeting and we are all ready to serve to make this a great year.
